I Think I'll Go To Boston...

It's been a whole week with no posts, so I'll start off with our family news. Some may, or may not know, but we're moving to Boston next week.

When we tell people, we get a variety of reactions. The main ones are "oh, that's really far away." (family) "oh, wow. That's going to be a change for you" (Bostonians finding out we're moving from IN) and "Wow! You'll be able to do so much!" (everyone)

We make a list of things to do for everywhere we move. So I'm wondering, if you had the chance where would you go? Or if you've been the to Boston area, what would recommend?

This is what I think of when I think of Boston. Also, ever since I've read John Adams, by David McCullough I really want to go to Braintree - did you know they have a whole State Park devoted to John Adams and his family?

Calling All Comments

Hello Ed and Elaine’s Posterity!

Joanne and Ashley have been talking back and forth on email to make this family blog a reality. Ashley took time out from “baby prep” recently to set up the blog for all of us to be able to post family news and share our lives, staying close. Because we all have access to the blog email and password, I think it would be nice if everyone "signed their posts" at the end, so we know who is talking (first name only for safety).

For those of you unfamiliar with blogs and don’t want to post yet, please leave your comments. Just click on “comments” at the end of each post. After you sign in with the family email and password you were given, you can comment as a family blogger, leaving your first name only within your entry, or you create your own google account by following the prompts in the comment box.

Thank you Ashley for volunteering to do this for our family! Our families lives and memories are worth celebrating! ~ Linda

“There's a story behind everything . . . How a picture got on a wall, how a scar got on your face. Sometimes the stories are simple and sometimes they are hard and heartbreaking. But behind all your stories is always your mother's story because hers is where yours begins.” ~ Mitch Albom, For One More Day

Our New Family Blog!

Hello family!!! Welcome to the family blog. Since we got rid of our last family website, we decided we still wanted a way to keep in touch with everyone. Thus, the blog.

So, here's how it's going to work. We have set up a gmail account for this specific blog. We will send out the gmail name and password to all members of the family. This is how you will login to the blog. Feel free to sign in and post any news you want to share, a question or thought you may have, or just a message to say hello! (Just like how we chatted on the old website.) We want to hear from you... even if it's just to let everyone know you have updated your own personal blog. We would love for everyone with a blog to add their blog to the sidebar so the family can keep tabs on you!

If you are looking at this saying, "I don't know how to write on a blog," no problem... we can post a quick guide on how to make a post or you can ask your teenager! And if you don't want to post, feel free to add a comment to someone else's post!

We hope this will be a fun way to keep in touch with our growing family!
Happy Blogging!
